In 2003, Ben and I purchased 3 acres of land about 4 miles north of Fairbanks in the hills that over look the Tanana Valley. By 2006 our family home
was built and we were able to move in. Since then we have raised chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, rabbits, goats, kids (the human kind), and various other creatures.
We completely fell in love with Nigerian Dwarfs and now have a growing herd of our own. This spring our homestead was officially named Livin' Good Farm.
Livin' Good Farm is the home of the farthest north, North American Nigerian Dwarf dairy goat herd, ColdMidniteGold. The spring of 2010 we welcomed our
very first kids into the herd. We are excitedly looking forward to many more years of raising these wonderful animals.
Our goal is to help preserve some of the rarer varieties of livestock so that future generations may be able to enjoy them as we do.
We are members of the Farthest North Goat Association, American Dairy Goat Association, American Goat Society, American Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Association, American Livestock Breeds Conservancy,
and Seed Savers Exchange.
